Whether you are interested in obedience classes to work on basic manners or you want to advance your dog to competition, the Canine Good Citizen test is the recognized AKC standard for a safe dog in public. The Thinking Dog Training System prepares you and your dog for the challenges of the test. As well, you and your companion can work through the next two levels, Community Canine as well as Urban Dog.

A dog who has passed the test is prepared to handle many of the challenges they confront in a normal day- leash control with distractions, loud noises, introductions to other dogs, and being near friendly strangers. As well, advanced levels prepare for off leash reliability in public and outdoor urban settings.
